England Immigrant plot case is adjourned - News - Article

The case against a man accused of being involved in a £1 million operation to help illegal immigrants live and work in Shropshire has been adjourned for a further two weeks.

Tai Chuan Low, 36, of Pool Road, Trench, faces six allegations relating to facilitating the trafficking of people from the Far East into the UK over the past two years.

At Telford Magistrates Court yesterday, Low, who was assisted by an interpreter, indicated that he denied the allegations.

The magistrates remanded the Malaysian national in custody and adjourned the case for a committal hearing on July 7.

The six charges against Low involve Malaysian nationals who arrived in the United Kingdom on a variety of dates between October 2002 and April 2004.

Low is accused of carrying out arrangements for facilitating the obtaining of permission for the named immigrants to remain in the United Kingdom by means that included deception.
